As Senior Software Engineer (f/m/d) you will be working in an autonomous interdisciplinary team of 3-4 developers. You will shape the way your team works, your tech stack and the products your team owns, share knowledge within and outside your team. You will support your more junior colleagues in the progression of their career by mentoring and sharing knowledge. You contribute to your team’s ability to successfully deliver secure, high-quality products in a timely manner.

Your product will transform the way Bayer is preparing submissions to authorities to obtain the license to sell for our innovative crop protection products. By enabling data-centric ways of working and automization your product will relief regulatory experts from frustrating manual work, copy and paste efforts.

Your Responsibilities

• You develop and continuously improve and deliver software products that are directly related to our business goals
• Work as part of a global agile development team to deliver & support business critical solutions.
• Collaborate, partner & help prioritize work every day with your developer colleagues, product managers, product designers and partners in the business.
• Mentor engineers on your team & across the software organization
• Provide technical design and architecture decisions within and across teams.
• You make use of agile principles as well as DevOps methodology to deliver your products in a timely manner
• Consistently contribute to solving organization-wide problems including shared platforms, libraries, and frameworks.
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of new technologies.
• Build relationships with key members of partner organizations.
• Own and develop your career by advancing your technical skills & knowledge
• You collaborate with our technical leaders and contribute to technical design and architecture choices within the team and across the domain platform

Who you are

• Either a higher education or working towards a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Technical Field
• Equivalent of 6+ years Prior Software Development or Engineering Experience
• Programming skills (preferred technology: JavaScript, React, Node.js)
• Knowledge of modern backend, frontend & mobile frameworks
• High level understanding of cloud architecture and deployment (preferred: AWS)
• You have experience in agile software development
• High level communication skills in English
• You enjoy mentoring less experienced colleagues and supporting your team in its development
• Work with a global team across time-zones
• Willingness to learn, develop, & innovate
